Family Camps

Family Camp – at Moon Beach

Family Camp is held at Moon Beach, nestled in the Northwoods of Wisconsin between Eagle River and St. Germain on the shores of Moon Lake and Little St. Germain Lake. Camp facilities include modern, clean cabins found amongst the native pine, oak, and birch trees. Meals are enjoyed in a family-like atmosphere. Camp AweSum is a typical camping experience: arts & crafts, boating, hiking, swimming, fishing, and campfires. Less typical events include karaoke, variety show, and dance night.

Family Camp at Moon Beach is an opportunity to vacation with other families who ‘understand your story.’ Respite is provided daily for three hours each morning, between breakfast and lunch, one hour in the afternoon while attending education, and one evening by trained volunteers. During your respite time, campers 5 and older, regardless of neurodiversity, will participate in activities such as archery, boating, and drumming. This provides an opportunity for parents/caregivers to have time to rejuvenate daily while enjoying Northwoods activities on their own. Some families come with their bicycles and enjoy the miles of bike paths in the area. Others go kayaking, fishing, hiking, or participate in yoga or guided arts & crafts sessions.
