Lorin WilleyProfessional Artist and Instructor“Lorin Willey, an internationally acclaimed artist and instructor, eagerly shares his expertise and passion to help you refine your skills in this timeless genre. As the first Wisconsin oil painter to receive the Award for Excellence in the National Arts for the Parks Exhibit in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in 1991, Lorin has showcased his work across the United States, Ireland, England, Scotland, Belgium, France, and Australia, earning a place in prestigious collections.
Affiliated with renowned galleries such as Michael DeLind Gallery in Milwaukee, Edgewood Orchard Gallery in Door County, and Lorica Gallery in Andover, Lorin founded the Wisconsin Painters Studio in 1990. For over two decades, he has inspired both students and professional artists with his dynamic teaching and lecturing on the world of art. Lorin’s classes prioritize the individual artist’s development of creative and technical skills, guided by his unique “3-Cs” approach—rooted in Creativity, Craftsmanship, and Clarity of Intent.”
Instructor-led Open Art Studio 4 with Lorin Willey
This workshop is designed to improve and enhance your artistic skills within your preferred medium. Oil, watercolor, pastel, and acrylic are all welcome. Bring your ideas, your inspiration, and your current work in progress. Discover knowledge and skills that will drive you to new levels of achievement.
Lorin is an internationally recognized, award-winning artist known for his skill, passion, and extensive knowledge as a painter and instructor. He has been a featured speaker at several major art organizations in Wisconsin, has traveled extensively, and his works are in prominent collections in several countries. Most recently, he has been represented by the Michael DeLind Gallery in Milwaukee, the Edgewood Orchard Gallery in Door County, and the Lorica Gallery in Andover, MA.
Studio time is from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. A supply list will be sent prior to the workshop. Lunch is included.
Commuter and overnight options are available. Cost: $135 commuter, $270 overnight.
