Justine HeinrichsJustine Heinrichs is a dedicated fiber artist whose work draws deeply from the natural world, bringing it to life through the intricate techniques of wet and needle felting. Originally an egg artist, she shifted to fiber art in 2017, captivated by the tactile possibilities of wool after crafting a tiny owl from a Woolpet kit. Since then, Heinrichs has created an impressive array of wool pieces, including pet portraits, wool paintings, and sculptures, known for her varied and expressive style.
Her talents were recognized in 2019 when she won Best in Show for a wet and needle-felted hawk portrait at the Sheep and Wool festival. In 2021, Heinrichs furthered her expertise, becoming one of the first certified instructors in the Sarafina felting program. Her work continues to inspire, blending artistic skill with a profound connection to nature.
