    Professional Artist and Instructor

Ed Fenendael, a Wisconsin native, has been an artist for over 35 years, specializing in watercolor and watercolor/ink. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Wisconsin, and graduated from Marquette University. Ed has learned from various national and international instructors.

Ed’s artistic journey started in grade school when a passion for color ignited. Growing up in a rural setting fostered an early appreciation for nature. Over time, he seamlessly integrated emotion, color, and nature into his work, shaping his current artistic expression. Surrounded by artistic family members, including a mother and artistic uncles and aunts, Ed’s enthusiasm for creation was greatly influenced. The discovery of Impressionist art and admiration for American painters like Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth further fueled his determination to carve out his artistic path.

His artwork is featured in galleries like Watergate Gallery in Washington D.C., “2 for U” Design in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, and Art Impressions Gallery in Sedalia, Missouri. You can also find his pieces in Morning Mist Studio at Windmill Farm in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, which doubles as his personal gallery.

Ed’s work is part of corporate and private collections globally, including the Miller Art Museum’s permanent collection. He was also represented by Atelier Galerie Letoliacha in Monet’s village of Giverny, France. With over three decades of experience, Ed Fenendael continues to share his diverse and captivating artistry.
