After five years of thoughtful and steady leadership, Rev. Jim Schleif will retire as Executive Director of United Church Camps, Inc. this December.
Jim came to UCCI during a challenging season and helped guide the organization toward greater financial stability, stronger relationships, and strong leadership across our sites. His calm approach, deep commitment to outdoor ministry, and care for Cedar Valley, Daycholah Center, Moon Beach, and the people who make them special have left a meaningful mark on UCCI.
As Jim prepares to retire, we are also pleased to share that Jaime Craig, current Managing Director of Daycholah Center, will become UCCI’s next Executive Director.
Jaime has served UCCI for the past four years and has worked closely alongside Jim while leading Daycholah Center. She brings a deep appreciation for this ministry and a commitment to building on the strong foundation already in place.
We’ll be celebrating Jim throughout the remainder of the year and sharing more about this important transition in the months ahead.
