Joyce EesleyProfessional Watercolor Artist and Instructor
Born in Michigan and educated at Northern Michigan University, Joyce Eesley, a Milwaukee-based artist, holds a BA in Art Education from Alverno College. Following a fulfilling career in local education, she transitioned to full-time artistry. As a signature member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society and Treasurer of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, Joyce boasts memberships in prestigious artistic organizations, including the Transparent Watercolor Society, American Watercolor Society, and National Watercolor Society. With a lifetime membership in the Transparent Watercolor Society, her work has earned accolades in national and international exhibitions. Notable collections featuring Joyce’s art include the Springfield Art Museum (Springfield, MO) and West Bend Insurance Company, in addition to various private collections across the United States. Specializing in watercolor, Joyce embraces the medium’s challenges, showcasing captivating still lifes that incorporate thrift store finds, fruits, vegetables, and flowers, often highlighting intricate details on metal vessels and cut glass vases.
Drawing Fundamentals – Learn to Draw What You See with Joyce Eesley

Vincent van Gogh said, “Drawing is the root of everything.” In this workshop, you will learn to draw what you see, not what you think you see! You will start by drawing simple shapes and then applying values. Together we will learn tips to sharpen our perception. Along the way, you will learn to see relationships of angles, size, space, and value. A supply list will be sent by email before the workshop. Lunch is included.
